Cora's Got The Devil's Mark Painting

Cora was sick of it. The constant tension, the rumors, being made to fear for her life. She had enough. She decided she would show her accusers what they wanted to see, after all. If they wanted to cast her out with "The Devil's Mark", she would give them a taste of their own devious medicine. 

She gathered up some twigs and a garden snake. She hovered over her ancestors' petroglyphs accompanied by her haunted objects. The rock carvings were centuries old and she was able to pull the bulk of her magic from them. There was a puff a smoke, and the ancient designs raised up into the heavens, transforming into ominous constellations. Pulsing and glowing, they patiently awaited Cora's instruction. 

She was looking deep within herself, summoning the strength for her intention. Cora was not sure of what was to come, only that the outcome was inevitable.
