Acrylic, ink, pencil
12" x 18"
This chubby cyclops mothman is barely flying, flapping his little wings.
But he's doing it! Flap, flap, flap… Floating below are some of his favorite treasures. Rotting walnut things and a haunted crushed can.
Inspiration from:
... It's 5 AM and I'm painting my favorite can. My boyfriend and I kept passing this creepy can on our walks... I always noticed it and deep down I just wanted this can. The angel on my shoulder would scold me and say "No, Rachel that's trash, don't take that can off the street." But the can was always there. Then one random day I confessed to Damian how much I wanted it and we took it home. Now, we put it out as a display piece at my shows. I always blush when someone notices it and asks about it, I feel so silly as I'm telling the story. But it's the truth of the can. It reminds me of the Hellier documentary and is obviously haunted.
